You can experience accessory making after seeing inside of handmade paper-milling factory those are only 5 in Japan and various types of washi paper patterned with raw materials for washi paper.
We can recommend for those who are interested in Japanese paper, those who are interested in the background and history of manufacturing, those who like handmade, and those who are interested in accessories.
The experience

★Host
Ms., Izumi Osada. From the traditional and historical part of Echizen washi to the part that is challenging to the needs of the present, we would like to let the beginners also understand it easily.
★Factory tour
We will guide you easily in the factory until the bark of the tree finally becomes a paper product. You can also take photos etc. (About 20 minutes)
★Accessory making
Then, we will move to a “Kioku-no-ie (memory house)” on our factory (about 30 seconds on foot) and have an experience while drinking tea in a room surrounded by Japanese paper.
You can choose your favorite one from 20 types to 30 types of end papers of crumpled paper, cut and/or tear off, then you can make the original piercings / earrings of your own.
While touching with your hands, we hope you will experience Japanese paper and enjoy the combination of colors and designs. (40 minutes to 1 hour)
★After the experience
Please take a picture in the factory, and/or visit the shop & gallery next to the factory etc.

Japanese paper-making process was a very detailed process but the results are very beautiful!
Also, the earring making process was fun and the result is very cute! This was a very fun experience!
